What We think about our Charity

The Potters Village is a charitable organization established to provide care and support to women and children who suffer domestic violence and abuse. It is incorporated under the laws of Ghana (Companies Code, Act 179) as a non-profit, non-governmental organization, and is also registered with the Department of Social Welfare, with registration number DSW/1571.

We are committed to opening worlds of opportunities by offering holistic training and tools to ensure harmonious living in families and provide a safe haven for victims of domestic violence and homelessness.

Our Vission

We hold a vision of creating and ensuring Peace and Security for national socio-economic development in Ghana and beyond.

Our Objectives


  1. To prevent family breakdown and social disintegration through family life education and counseling support;
  2. To provide shelter, food, clothing and other material needs for the vulnerable in society;
  3. To help needy children to acquire basic and secondary education and ensure their continued professional development;
  4. To educate women and children on their rights and help them to access legal systems and protection against abuse;
  5. To increase women’s participation in mainstream governance and nation building, by equipping them with necessary skills and competencies
