Ps.Mrs. Nana Ama Adu Owusu

Executive Director, The Potter’s Village

Mrs. Nana Ama Adu Owusu is the Executive Director of The Potter’s Village, a role she embraced with deep commitment after close to two decades of active involvement in the vision pioneered by her late mother, Dr. Jane Irina Adu. Working side by side with her from a young age, she has developed both the heart and the skills required to lead one of Ghana’s foremost social protection initiatives for women and children. A former student of Aburi Girls’ Senior High School, Mrs. Owusu pursued her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Ghana, graduating in 2007. On a full scholarship, she furthered her education at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Childhood Studies. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Ghana, focusing on research that addresses issues of children and social development. Her professional journey includes lecturing Psychology at Regent University College of Science and Technology, Ghana, where she mentored young scholars and inspired many to pursue excellence. She also serves on a number of boards, contributing her expertise to programmes that support children and empower women. Beyond the classroom and boardroom, she regularly speaks at women’s conferences and leads training sessions for teachers and caregivers. A strong believer in the Gospel, Mrs.Owusu is a lay minister at Holy Hill Chapel Assemblies of God. She is married and blessed with three biological children while opening her heart and home to many adopted children. Her blend of academic achievement, practical leadership, spiritual grounding and lifelong service makes her a remarkable steward over God’s people.
