Welcome to The Potter’s Village

A place of love, restoration, and hope. At The Potter’s Village, we believe every child deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.

Who We Are

The Potter’s Village- Ghana is a Christian nonprofit, non-governmental organisation which is dedicated to providing care, shelter and support for orphaned and vulnerable children as well as abused women in Ghana. Established in May 2000 by the late Dr. Mrs. Jane Irina Adu, we seek to empower every child in our care to become healthy, educated and self-reliant individuals who can positively contribute to their communities and society at large. We also focus on empowering women psychologically, economically, financially and mentally, enabling them to hold their families together and build a brighter future. Through our programs, women gain confidence, independence and a sense of purpose, allowing them to provide for their children and break the cycle of poverty. Our work focuses on preventing family separation through community support, particularly for vulnerable families and single mothers. When a child’s biological family environment becomes unsafe for any reason, we provide protective shelter, care and nurturing space where vulnerable children can thrive and reach their full potential. We are registered and incorporated under the laws of Ghana as a non-profit entity with registration number CG213620921 and duly recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, Ghana.

Our Vision:
Our vision is to promote peace, security and unity in families for socio- economic development in Ghana and beyond.

Our Mission:
We are committed to opening worlds of opportunities for the vulnerable. We provide a safe haven for victims of domestic violence and the homeless, offering them quality education, healthcare, emotional support and life skills training to prepare them for a brighter future and harmonious living in families.
